Transversalität beschreibt in gewissem Sinne das Gegenteil von Tangentialität und stellt den „Normalfall“ (siehe <a href="#Stabilität">Stabilität</a> und <a href="Transversalit%C3%A4tssatz" title="Transversalitätssatz">Transversalitätssatz</a>) dar.
